I’m Anne-Marie — a mother, a wife, a woman living with disability, a relentless advocate for my family, and a human being who has fallen apart and rebuilt herself more times than I can count.
For most of my life, I’ve been walking a tightrope between survival and love.
Between grief and hope. Between being someone’s safe place and having none of my own.
I live with the weight of chronic illness, mental health diagnoses, and a body that doesn’t always obey me.
I am raising two beautiful boys — one of whom has complex needs that stretch me in ways both heartbreaking and breathtaking.
My husband, Adrian, lives with profound health challenges too.
So much of my life happens behind closed doors. In hospitals. In advocacy battles. In moments of quiet courage no one sees.
And yet — I am still here…. Still rising.
Still choosing to believe there is beauty worth fighting for.
Finding My Sunshine is more than a blog. It’s the place where I lay down my armour.
Where I tell the truth — about pain, about resilience, about the way healing rarely looks like we imagined.
If you’re here, maybe you know what it’s like to carry too much.
To hold joy and sorrow in the same breath.
To feel invisible in a world that doesn’t slow down for your kind of hard.
I want you to know this:
You don’t have to be whole to be worthy.
You don’t have to be strong to be seen.
This is a space where our scars are sacred. Where our stories matter.
Where your quiet survival is celebrated.
I don’t know your story — But I see you.
And I am so glad you’re here.
